The Opteka Macro Focusing head, essential for precision macro photography, is made of a lightweight, corrosion-resistant metal alloy. Even with a steady hand, macro photography can be tricky and temperamental. The fine tuning of the Opteka macro head helps you find the right depth of field to take precise close-up photos.
The smooth action macro-rails consist of 4 way movement for precisely adjusting focus. The X axis moves right and left, the Y axis moves towards and away from the operator on threaded rods. Underneath the top table (Y), there 1/4 threaded holes for mounting to a copy stand or to a tripod. The adjustment knobs are smooth and fluid, and have just the right amount of resistance.
- Two 6" rails allow the adjustment of the rail in all four directions: forward, backward, right or left
- Threaded 1/4x20 screw will fit most tripods and copy stands
- Rack and pinion gear system (for each of the rails) ensures smooth, precise and accurate movement of the rail
- Locking knobs assure a rock-steady focus
- Compatible with most cameras, both film and digital, point & shoot and SLR
